Does love stir within your heart?
Do you smile when lovers pass hand in hand?
Does love stir within your heart?
Do you smile when lovers pass hand in hand?
Does injustice make you ache with compassion?
Would you heal every hurt if you could?
Do you feel drawn to serve others?
Do you know what it is to recover from loss?
Only you can know if serving in Menphina's name is the right path for you.
Joining the Clergy of this Temple is dedicating yourself to a life of service, which extends beyond the time you spend within our walls. It is a declaration that you align with our beliefs and teachings and that regardless of where you are - you choose to live by our precepts.
Understand that while many of us are healers, we do not seek to fix or change those who come to us. When we serve, we recognize that every person we meet is on their own journey, just as we are. Our task is not to solve their problems or make decisions for them, but to walk beside them, offering support and care. This is not an act of obligation, but because helping others enriches our lives as much as it does theirs.
Here every Clergy member is cherished, and every individual brings their own light to our shared purpose. Together we hold true to our precepts and create the sanctuary that is the heart of this Temple. Here, diversity strengths us, and the myriad ways we serve nourishes our community as a whole.
If you feel the gentle pull of Menphina's love, we welcome you with open arms. Whether you are called to heal, to protect, or to serve in quiet dedication, there is a place for you here. Come, and let us walk this path of love together, under the eternal glow of Her moon.
As a member of Clergy, your character is expected to respect Menphina as a goddess of love. There are some among our Acolytes and Hounds who do not worship Menphina as their primary deity.
Menphina is a Goddess in a polytheistic religion, and our in-character belief is that she is not a jealous Goddess. There is no conflict between worshiping Menphina and other deities, even if they are not members of the Twelve.
Only members of our Priesthood are required to take a vow in Menphina's name.
We are a lalafell friendly community. Our general stance is that we treat adult characters played by adult players like adults.
This also means that opposite is true, any underaged character of any race or underaged player are not welcome within our community.
Note that due to discord ToS, we do not permit lewd or suggestive images of lalafell on our discord, even if their appearances are changed enough to add adult features.
We consider ourselves an immersive RP community, not merely a venue.
Our regular openings do, in many ways, function as a traditional venue.
However, our community and role play exists beyond this, so do many of the services we provide. You do not merely come here to work one night a week. Joining clergy means that your character is making the choice to be dedicated to Menphina.
Our location and clergy function as you would expect a place of worship to. Our doors are always open and you will often find our clergy and members of the community role-playing.
Absolutely not.
We are a sex positive community that prizes consent above all else.
Whether or not you choose to engage in NSFW services or activities is entirely up to you.
You will always have the right to accept or refuse any guest or congregation request, regardless of the nature of the request.
Additionally, being sex positive means that we also make space for asexual members of our community to feel safe and valued too.
No. Some of our clergy do practice sacred sexuality or healing through intimacy. Whether or not they accept offerings for these services is at their discretion.
In character, we do not believe that sexuality is sinful. Sexual acts between consenting adults can be a beautiful thing. But, it is not our primary focus and is absolutely not our purpose.
In character, one could make the argument that the Temple is. But, that same argument could be made for almost any form of organized religion. Most of our characters don't believe they are in a cult. They do joke about it sometimes though.
We absolutely welcome your character to explore any skepticism about religion and faith with us!
Out of character, we definitely are not. We don't have any cohesive out of character beliefs or practices. None of our leadership has an interest in telling anyone what to do outside of our RP.
Goodness no!
We are very aware that we've amassed a massive amount of written information about the Temple, our RP, and lore.
We're also really aware of how intimidating it can be.
As new clergy, you aren't expect to know anything other than our rules!
It's honestly more fun if your character doesn't know much at the start. We love creating moments of character growth and you'll get the chance to learn so much just by showing up and taking part in things.
Please do not join the Temple if you are hoping to get rich through rp!
We do make efforts to fairly compensate everyone for their time, but we are not a profit driven community.
Your pay is directly tied to how involved you wish to be. There are many different activities beyond serving during Worship Services that will earn you gil, most of which are not required to remain on clergy.
We prefer to reward those who go above and beyond than punish those who are not or cannot or do not wish to be as present.
We value the quality of time spent together, between ourselves just as much as with our guests. For this reason, we have an engaging and personal training process, during which our newest members of Clergy work with a Mentor to learn more about the Temple and our role-play.
Our Mentors can only work with so many Clergy at a time. If there is no Mentor available when you apply, you will be placed on our wait list. We greatly appreciate your patience and look forward to enjoying a fun immersive experience with you.
Please ensure that both you and any characters you bring to the Temple are 18 years old or older.
Being part of our Discord community is essential to stay connected and involved.
Please make sure to read any announcements in our clergy announcement channel on Discord. If a response is needed, don’t hesitate to reply!
Joining and using our clergy CWLS will help you stay in the loop and is required during any of our larger gatherings.
It’s important to familiarize yourself with and follow both our in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) guidelines.
Our role-play includes heavy religious themes, so please be comfortable with exploring this aspect.
As a sex-positive community, we invite you to be open and accepting of this environment.
We are a Lala-friendly community, so embracing diversity is key to our shared experience.
We ask that you adapt at least the basics of our religious role-play into your character’s beliefs, to help immerse yourself in the experience.
Lastly, we ask that you assist with or host one gathering a month to help keep our community thriving and connected.
